BERLIET France  |
Marius Berliet est né en 1866 à Lyon, il construit son premier moteur en 1894, sa première voiture en 1895. En 1902, il acquiert les usines "Audibert et Lavirotte", future usine Berliet de Monplaisir. A partir de 1916, Marius Berliet achète 400 hectares de terrains à Vénissieux et créé une usine qui produit de l'acier jusqu"à la production des véhicules. L'entreprise choisit le diesel en 1930, lance les missions sahariennes (1926-32) et oriente les activités vers la fabrication de poids lourds Voir une publicité ancienne de ce constructeur.
